Position
Summary:
The Senior Vice President/Manager of Loan Operations will have complete oversight of the daily activities of the Loan Operations Department. This position will have a great amount of influence and impact on the organization by developing, implementing and communicating the vision, mission, and strategy of Residential Loan Operations. This leader will build and motivate a staff of 35
professionals and serve as an executive model for the company. This position provides growth opportunity as well as high exposure to executive management. The successful candidate must have experience and passion for process improvement, strategic operational thinking, and proactive system implementation and enhancement.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Management the daily activities of the multi-site Residential Loan Operations Department; full-cycle from loan documentation, processing of loan activity, to reporting and maintenance of the loan portfolio
Development, implementation and oversight of all processes and procedures relating to Residential Loan operations including loan servicing, payment processing, escrow statements, customer inquiries, auditing and preparing loan documents, reconciling and disbursing funds, reviewing and clearing posts, reconciling general ledger accounts and overall reporting and statement production
Development and execution of a strategic plan for Loan Operations that will serve as a model for other operational groups within the company; presentation of goals and achievements to executive management
Interaction with customers, loan officers, risk management, and credit operations to ensure proper controls, policies, and service levels are maintained impeccably
Reconciliation of all general ledger accounts connected to payment processing, loan draws, participations, and other loan activities; work extensively with corporate accounting and finance to streamline this process.
Ensure that all employees in the department are working in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws and regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act and the USA Patriot Act
Ensure that appropriate division of duties is maintained at all times to avoid possible misuse of authority or fraudulent activity; create seamless process for reporting of suspicious activity
Completion and management of departmental budgets, headcount monitoring and staff/shift level design
Attend all mandatory training on compliance and ensure all employees are attended both compliance and career-related courses as required; provide mentoring and direction to staff
Serve as Business Lead in the Bank's technology programs and projects as it relates to Loan Operations
Create a culture where the department is inclusive, flexible and excited to implement new strategies and process improvements, new and improved technologies, and programs that improve customer service

Technical Skills Required:
Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's desired

years of experience specifically with Residential Loan Operations at a financial institution with $2 Billion in capital is required
Experience demonstrating a practical and technical understanding of laws related to Residential Loans
Candidate must be a strong people leader and have managed a large operations staff
Six Sigma or other process improvement methodology exposure is a big plus
Experience in creating and implementing strategic operation plans and presenting them to executive management in addition to everyday operation oversight
Must demonstrate clear examples of achievement in process improvements, technology implementations and enhancements and automation of manual activities
Ideally, the final candidate will have experience working in a publicly traded consumer driven company
Personal Skills:
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with executives, business management, and other department leads on a daily basis
Ability to both strategic and tactical leadership to drive performance under tight deadlines and conflicting priorities
Impeccable written and verbal, communication skills

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
