o Designing, developing, and testing of experimental and production systems. Providing engineering oversight of technical staff when appropriate. Providing Hands-on work to test electronics, diagnose failures and render repairs if needed. Developing and reviewing documentation packages including schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and test plans. Developing embedded computing and digital signal processing designs and applications. Providing expertise in analyzing analog and digital circuitry with both known and unknown properties.Qualifications Required Education and Work Experience The successful candidate has diversified knowledge of principles and practices in engineeringA degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required with the following experience levels:
o BS with 5 or more years of experience. MS with 3 or more years of experience. PhD with 0 or more years of experience.(Experience must be with relevant work in a professional setting) Required Skills/Attributeso Experienced in generating and reading State Machine, Logic, Flow, and Interconnection Diagrams. Experience with Schematic and PCB layout tools such as KiCad. Experience with analog simulation software (e.g., spice). Skilled in electrical circuit testing and analysis including prototyping sub-systems. Experience creating electrical sub-systems and prototypes for field deployable systems using fully customized designs, or adapter modules to connect to existing equipment. Familiarity with lab/bench hardware such as oscilloscopes, power supplies (AC and DC), and spectrum analyzers. Ability to communicate designs through presentations and be comfortable providing material for review. Familiar with C, C++, Python, or MATLAB for automating data collection and analysis. Experience working with analog data acquisition and signal conditioning techniques. Experience with designing and troubleshooting cabling and interconnectivity. Proficient in writing technical documentation in MS word and PowerPoint. Ability to be onsite five days a week when required. Ability to obtain Secret clearance. U.SCitizenship.Desired Skills/Attributeso Experience with mechanical or optical engineering. Experience with in-depth analysis of electrical systems for reverse engineering.
